mid 90's land cruiser wheels

I have the land cruiser wheels on my 4runner. When I first got them I got 4 and then recently purchased an extra for a full size spare. Apparently the lugs changed and I didn't get the lugs with the latest wheel. The new wheel takes smaller cone type lugs and the other 4 take the larger type that work with the stock 3rd gen lugs.

So, where can I pick up some of the correct lugs for the older cone type lug wheels? I'm scared to even ask how much from a dealer. I only paid 60$ for the wheel shipped from a salvage in the mid west. PLEASE HELP.

not mid 90's, 91-92 only. They used an insert with a acorn style lug nut, instead of the shank style lug nut like the standard offset 8 alloys used.

Just go to any parts store and get some generic lug nuts.

^ ok thanks, I think what I may really need is longer studs. There is hardly any thread catching on the wheel with the inserts in it.

rule of thumb... about 7 turns should be good. anything less you will have to check it out.

very weird...as in my other post, i used my oem ones. my studs were long enough though...no different than the wheels without the inserts. wonder why that ones so different...

but yeah..as deathcougar mentioned...just grab generics. since its only for spare...at least you'll just need 6 and not 24!

can you get the wheel machined to be the same as the other wheels so you don't have to carry extra lugs around?

Actually, 93 was when they switched to 16" wheels, but I think it was 95 when it switched from alloys with steel inserts, to alloy only, lug nut changed at the same time. Not sure generic is the solution.
