I know this is a interesting topic some are pro hubs others con of course.
There is no right side here but your own.
I am speaking from my own very biased research.
If you live down South where one never sees temps of below freezing for several days or weeks stop reading here.
Us people who are lucky or cursed by below freezing temps running lock out hubs in this frigid weather makes lots of sense.
The power difference even with a 3.4 was very noticeable the 22REC would even be more of a difference.
Once out of the Glacier that is my driveway hubs are unlocked to I return Home.
The power difference plus being able to unlock the front drive train makes locking hubs a no brainer for me.
Love my Warn Hubs!!

I loved the warn hubs on my 87, very easy to turn and no cone washers! But that is also their weak spot, the cone washer add strength where a straight stud might sheer off under heavy loads.

I could understand the strength thing if all one did is drop the vehicle off of two foot or taller rocks all day long.
Besides it would be simple to machine the Warn Hub Body to use cone washers.
i am happy with them since the Aisin Hubs when I get them for the most need some real tender loving care to work again
They work for me that is all that matters.
The truck I use at home has the hubs locked all the time and case in 4low
