lift shackles didnt lift

before, my truck sat 13.5" from top of the rim to the fender and the rear sat 15". i installed 1.5" bj spacers and got that much lift out of them in the front. i then installed 2.5" longer shackles in the rear, but now the back sits around 14-3/8, 14.5" so i actually lost about a half inch of height in the back. i guess i will have to put in an aal to bring it back up but was just wondering if this has happened to anybody else

Longer shackles won't fix worn out leaf springs.

Lots of variables involved with longer shackles and lift (or lack thereof):

I ended up with no lift from 1.5" longer front shackles, but I wasn't looking for lift, more to add some caster angle for better steering.
