leaf springs

So my buddy had got a Toyota pickup and the truck is abnormaly stiff. His leafs look stacked and t bars are cranked to around 3 inches. Im wondering if i can peel some leafs. Are there some leafs that have to be there? Does anyone has any ideas?
Thanks

Without seeing it would be pretty hard to say take out the these two leaves.

How many leaves does it have??

it is a truck just what are you comparing it to.

I think it has around 7 leafs i have the same truck and i have 4.

The leaf right above the bottom one on spring perch, almost looks only held on by the center bolt. Am i looking at it right or is it welded? Or something stupid. The leafs definitely look cut and put in. But i have never looked closely at a lifted set of leaf springs.
