How much for a 22R-E and/or a 3VZ-E?

 

$5000-12,000 for a 22R/22R-E depending on spec and options, and $6000-20,000 for a 3VZ-E (yes, I will modify those too; 3VZ-GE and 3VZ-GTE single and twin turbo versions). Made in Tokyo or Denver, depending on your preference. Should be good to go by 2009-2010.

 

not being aggressive, but "no more"?????????? no more????????? I think you are indeed incorrect in your perceptions, good sir. If you look at the number of people who buy trucks with them (like me)/drive them on a daily basis (like me) and absolutely love them (like me) then you will gain enlightenement. I can and will buy another carbed one anyday to make a replica of my wrecked '85.

 

As far as I know - Toyota no longer casts 22R series blocks... that I am aware of - at least here in the USA.

One of the reason that Small Block Chevy's are so popular is that here it is some oh 50 years later and the are still making them (ok - not too sure of this per se - but htey made me a Looong time). Similarly for the infamous ford 9" diff...

Chevy's 350 ended production in 1994. Chrysler's 318 was developed and used earlier than the 350 (1953?) and ended production in 2002. Chrysler's slant 6 was most bulletproof engine every made......period!!

 

I see what you mean by "no more". Yes, you are correct. In order to get a new casting you would have to buy one either direct from Japan or through a company like LC Engineering or through my own manufacturing concern, Murasama.
