I've used a plugs a couple times on my tires with no problems, guess I consider it permanent since they still are not leaking. The cheapa$$ plastic puncture tool always seems to break on me though

If using a good plug that is installed correctly -- I have found that they will easily last the life of the tire!

A good tire plug kit is essential if you wheel and I've had plugged tires hold air w/o leaking no problem.

I sell them on my website if you need a good one cheap.

These plugs are a temp repair. You should get the tire Plugged with a round rubber plug and patched from inside.I have had steel belt failures because moisture eventually got into the steel belts and causes rust. The belt then weakens and the tire deformes or bulges.

My brothers bucik I plugged 6 months ago and is holding just fine. He is a 17 year old kid and drives like a maniac, if its held up its fine in my book. It really depends on what made the hole and where it is. If its in the sidewall dont ever plug it, that could lead to a weak spot and a blowout. In the tread and its a nail and not a large cut or something then your fine.

I have always used those kinds of rubebr, sticky plugs they sell at wallyworld and they always have worked just fine too.

Yeah, all of mine are on the tread and not sidewall. Actually I found a picture of one nail in my back left coincidentally enough.
