A light bulb turned on over my head a few minutes ago, and I am interested to know how much money yotatech has saved everyone. I know that it has saved me thousands by now...

Lets see, I have fixed the following using information found on this board:

1. Power Steering Rack ( saved 700$ by getting the rack offline and installing it myself over having the dealer replace it)

2. Rear Axle Bearings & Seals ( saved over 500$ by getting the parts and doing it myself with the help of the local machine shop)

3. Top Engine Cleaning ( saved 65$ by not paying the 85$ Toyota wanted to basically run two cans of seafoam through the PCV)

4. Replaced O2 and A/F Ratio Sensor ( saved 300$ by not having the dealer do it)

All told so far, I have saved 1565$ by learning how to fix my own truck as opposed to paying stupid amounts of money to have someone do easy work for me, and Im not even including small stuff like oil changes and tune ups!!

How much have you saved? Perhaps more of us need to start contributing to this awesome site!!
