How much did you pay for your pickup?

$20 for my 82. It had been sitting in a field for three years when I got it, and was infested with vermin. The $20 was for transfer of title. After many hours of power washing, chiseling away the sound dedening, a battery replacement, rebuilt carb, new seats, etc. etc., I have a nice running truck that still kinda looks beat. Probably invested $3000 into it since I got it, and will be selling it soon.

I looked for my truck for almost a year - had those exact specifications, people thought I was nuts! Finally found my '92, and picked it up for 1500. Runs like a champ; the interior looked like that of the Mercedes in "the hangover" after the tiger was done with it... Slowly improving on that one!

My brother bought the truck from my father-in-law, and was making payments. He blew the motor, then borrowed his boss' truck for work. First day, he rear-ends somebody and the boss made him 'buy' the truck. I struck a deal with him to take over the payments he quit making to my father-in-law($700 by his statement, $1000 by my FIL) plus $200 cash and became the 4th owner. I brought the cash with me the following Christmas to pay my in-laws and woke up Christmas morning to find the cash stuffed in my stocking. So I consider my truck to have cost me $200.

'94 4x4 p/u standard cab, short bed, 22RE, 5-speed, 185xxx miles. Paid $4200 and immediately did the TC and head. Sounds like I paid a bit more than everyone else but it seems almost impossible to find these around here without TOO much rust. I didn't really get a deal, but I don't regret it.

$6500 for my '90 in 2004 from the local Toyota dealer...it took a week but I talked them down from $8995 (high book at the time was just over $6500). IMMACULATE condition, one owner, bone stock, 147k miles, ZERO rust, and it came with a canopy. Still driving it today.

$3500.00 for my 88, 10/2011. I paid more than I wanted to for it but it's rustfree and has a really nice interior and rebuilt top end.
I bought it with the inention of keeping it for a long time and eventually swapping in a 3.4.

I bought my 92 excab in 09 for $3000.00

I bought my 90 excab in 2005 for $2300.00 and wish I had never sold it.
