How much did you pay for your 4runner?

cant remember if ive posted here or not, probably have, but ill just go over it again anyway.

i paid 5500 for my 94 x-cab v6 auto with 98k miles in 2005. put 35k onto it and traded it for a 90 mustang gt which SURPRISE got totalled

~2000 for my 8 4runner with drunk-backyard-mechanic-failure-straight-front-job with 5.71s and 35x15.5r15 sx's and entirely too much leaf

$0 for my bone stock 86 4runner. id trade it in a heartbeat if the previous owner could come back to life. came with blown head gasket from people driving it with no alt/fan/waterpump belt on it

this one was a once in a lifetime deal. i was walking into a parts store one day and some guy pulled up to me and asked me if i knew anything about old toyotas, his son just got back from iraq and had this 4runner that he couldnt fix and wanted to sell. so i went and looked at it and paid $8 or 900 (cant recall) for this 89 4runner w/bracket lift/33x12.5r16/ on $$centerlines$$/stereo/4.88s/LSD rear/tint, which i subsequently dumped about 2000 into to give it a fresh top end with engnbldr 261c, 5spd swap, still dumping money into this one. now has some sr5 seats in it and a nice smitty rear bumper. this also came with a blown head gasket in addition to chain guide stew in the oil pan, wrecked tappets, flat cam lobes, crusty valve faces/seats, slightly warped head, timing chain retarded by 2 teeth.. im sure i forgot what ELSE was wrong with it. and the best part is it was like this when the previous owner DROVE IT HOME. haha 22r-e. currently pulling 18.5mpg with that too, daily driven.

97 4Runner base 2.7 5sp with 288k MILES on the clock. Thrown rod and it had a replacement 2.7 in the back with 91K. Needed a new windshield, driveshaft, front brakes, o2sensor, muffler, tailgate latch, lots of bulbs. Almost perfect body and decent tires. Paid $1,800 added another $1,200 of parts and labor. Runs and looks awesome!

'87 4runner DD for 9 months. never hiccuped. turned to parts truck. 600$ running driving 4x4 works everything. just ugly n rusty.
'85 4runner 4x4 on like new 33x12.5x15 bfg mudders. new DD and offroader 700$ had a bad motor, good everything else. missing lots o little parts n crap.
so 1300 for both trucks. when i am done parting out the 87 i expect to have both truck paid for plus some (except for the new motor). have already made back 1,100 plus stealing parts for my '85. all the work paid off! plus, new motor (built n upgraded by me to save money cuz i can.) and all parts and fluids were about 1200. so basically in the end i will walk out with a sweeet '85 4runner with a brand new upgraded motor for about a grand with lots of new parts on it. all kinds of stuff done o it now. gotta start a build thread.

In April 2006, bought my first Yota off Ebay with the $936 winning bid. It is a 1988 4Runner 22re 5 speed with approx. 154000 miles on it when I got. It had the timing chain/timing cover rattle when I got and drove it until 225000 miles when I parked it in the driveway in December 2010 because she was leaking coolant/overheating (I know, way overdue for maintenance.) After getting her, I was hooked on these stylish, functional and durable little trucks. She is still waiting to be rebuilt for my twelve year old son and I to use as a beater on and off road.
This past April, I picked up a 1994 4Runner with 22re 5 speed 4WD in Ohio for $2600. She currently has about 154000 miles and also has the timing chain/cover rattle which I also have to address sooner than later.
And yes, I have to get together some pics and post them. Thanks for reading.
