Ok, I'll play along even though this is an old posting.

$4,500-1996 4Runner Base Model. 2.7L 4Cyl. 5spd. Brand new Green paint with red/blue metallic flake. 190,000 miles. Leaks nothing, runs perfect. Only thing i didnt like is the 3" body lift it came with. And the low grade interior.

I really wanted a silver 1987 runner SR5 with a straight body, so I paid $3300 with a billion miles (253,000) on the odometer. It came with newer Nokian tires and 16" wheels. 22re motor, (w56 trans) which had been rebuilt with new head and header. 2.5 inch exhaust. New shocks all the way around. And a hole bunch of little problems (electrical). I probably have put another $300-$400 into it and love it. And I guess its one of the faster 87's cause I can go over 70 mph. lol

2001 2wd

2001 2WD SR5 Purchased Jan. 2001
The only vehicle I have ever purchased new and probably the best.
Base model 15in steel rims
Running boards
Tinted windows
Tow package
Roof rack
+
I have the window sticker somewhere.......
Love this truck !
I have done all of the maintenance except for a leak at the differential bell housing that was warranty covered at aprox 15k miles.....weird
Currently @ 59k miles
Paid $26,894 +tax
I wanted 2WD only and had to go outside the Northwest area to find one in stock. Order time was long.......Purchased in Redding CA and drove my pride and joy home !

Bought mine used and Toyota certified with an extended warranty until 150,000 miles. 2002 4Runner mint condition, nothing wrong, only bad thing it is 2wd. But I love this truck way better than my Pathfinder I had.
Fully loaded except for 4wd - $16,499 - with 74,500 miles on it.

4RUNNER FTW ! ! !

I scored an '87 for helping an old lady move. An afternoon's work. It was sitting beside her house, and when I asked where she wanted it, she says "you want it?" So now I have this beat-to-hell 4runner with 50,000 miles on the ode and my work cut out for me. It was used as a junk-yard parts runner, so the interior was beat up from V8s rolling around in the back, and the lift gate was completely destroyed. I'm about 3/4 done refurbishing it, and I can't wait for spring!

Please tell me that $2500 is what you spent on the base truck and you added all that other stuff like the supercharger on top of that.

If you spent $2500 on the base truck that is a GREAT deal, if you spent that much on all that, i hate you!!
