I have this type of torque wrench, maybe even the same.
It works well.
I've had it for few years... which reminds me that I need to give it for the calibration.
Do you guys know where I can do it? O'Reilly? AutoZone?

 

What is the minimum setting on that wrench? I would like to use it for stuff like spark plugs, drain plugs and lug nuts.
I bought one from Sears on sale 3/8 but did some research today and found out the lug nuts need to be at about 80-82 lbs. The wrench only goes to 75 lbs.

 

The minimum setting on mine is 10ftlbs, but for such low values I would rather use a smaller wrench.
BTW1 Mine is 1/2" socket.
BTW2 I have 2001 4Runner SR5 and in my FSM it states 83ftlbs for the lug nuts.

 

That looks exactly like the $10 HF wrench. Even the case looks the same except in black instead of red.

But, the HF does not come with the extension or the adapter.

I orderd the wrench from tire rack with a 21mm socket for my truck and 19mm for my wife's Impreza. I'll see how well it works for smaller stuff like spark plugs and oil changes. If not I'll purchase a in-lb wrench for thoese applications.

 

I don't currently have a great assortment of torque wrenches. Actually, I only have 1 and it's only in some limited range of inch-lbs.

I do use it for spark plugs tho, because I don't want to strip the threads in the block which tends to happen too often and is a b**** to fix. It also comes in great handy with intake bolts as they are very low torque and they tend to easily snap especially as they get older.

As far as skid plate, interior bolts etc. etc., no torque wrench there!

 

inch lbs torque wrenches are one, amazing, and two, expensive lol, i would love to have one!

 

I use the touchy feely method. If I could afford a 4runner manual and a torque wrench, I would be using it for everything.
