I use castrol 10W30 and a Toyota filter every 2500-3000 miles in my 95 3.0, my stepdad has 292,000 miles on his 86 4Runner that he bought new and he's always ust regular old 10W30

 

i dunno why, but ive used castrol in everything ive ever owned, and have never had a lube problem yet (knock wood) usually go bout 4k between changes with syntec mix, 10w30 in winter, 10w40 in summer, either yota or kn oil filters on my yota, and wix or kn on my chevy.

 

Isnt' that what the red light on the dash is for? To tell me when its time to change my oil?
