HID question

LINK: http://www.hid-lights.com/
go to "HID conversion kits" then "HID kits"

have you heard of anybody running these kits, the price seems good, but the saying "you get what you pay for " might apply here? what do you think? because for that price I'm half temped to convert the tacoma... thanks, Joe

Problem with those kits is 6000 is kinda blue, 8000/8500 is really blue. You want a 4100k kit, pure white, the color of sunlight.

Prior to doing an HID conversion, I recommend http://intellexual.net/hid.html for some good info.

I put a 4100k kit on my mustang and it's pretty fantastic.

Before and after (still need to re-aim them):

search away and see why its not just plug and play. at the very least use a proper shield so you dont blind everyone on the road.
i would recommend using oem stuff only, better quality than any "kit" you can buy. I have casper shields installed on mine with a modified shield added to cut alot of the glare down. it still glares a little, but not any more than most other reflector based HID cars. (g35, maxima ect...) ideally a projector should be used. but IMO, just get some of the bulbs that Burtman sells, they will perform good enough and be a ton cheaper and you will retain your hi beams as well.
