Help with truck choice
Okay, I'm looking for a parts hauler/DD pickup. I know i want it to have a 3.4 and that I want a 2wd 1/2 ton. Should I go with a T100 or an early Tundra? I wanna regular cab longbed. Any thoughts on which would be the better choice? Thanks

The T100 has the best payload capacities of the 2 trucks and I would imagine the better frame.
Both have the 3.4 L V6 engine, but the Tundra can be had with the 4.7 L V8engine as well.
The T100's will be cheaper to buy. The Tundra's will be a bit more modern in design and creature comforts.

In my area pretty much the F-150 wins out, see lots more than any other brand being used by Contractors. Now if you're talking a little newer than the F-250 Super Duty wins.
I figure all these guys seem to know something because most Contractors run their trucks to death and don't service them as much as they should.
They seem to last and take the abuse, only an observation.

The F-150 frames of that era blow. You ever see the ones with frame sag in the middle where the box and the cab lines no longer line up? Looks like arse! Maybe an '04 plus F-150, but anything before that wasn't anything special frame wise.
