Happy Yota Family

Well, I am proud to announce that I am now in a an all toyota family. I am sort of a newb here, I have been learning and observing from this site for about two years now. I have a 1991 4runner with the 3.slow and have the ball joint spacers FJ80 coils in the rear and am currently working on a 7mgte that will be running off either 100% ethanol or 100%gasoline or anything in between, so I have been using this as a resource. Anywho, today my wife and I went out and bought her a 2002 4runner sport edition with the 3.4l automatic and she loves it. I was sooo excited I thought I would post here (as you can see I don't post much) and say thanks to the Yotatech community for all of the information and making my yoter experience that much better.

I'll get some pics up...Yeah, I love the 91, the project should be a fun one. I'm gonna use megasquirt and run a GM flexfuel fuel sensor to determine the % of alcohol in the fuel and let megasquirt adjust the fuel maps acordingly. I'm gonna try and use the higher octane of the ethanol (100% ethanol has something like 115 octane) through higher compression and boost for better gas mileage and power. I like the 2002 but the 91 has more of the "truck" feel, which I love.

Yeah, definitely looking to meet you NC guys. Hey Travs91, where in Union County, I'm right in South Charlotte. As for the 02, I don't think my wife will mod it for a little while, at least until she gets bored of it ;-)

that's funny. I'm in the process of converting my family right now. After they saw how I could wheel the piss out of my truck with 300k and still drive it to work and school everyday (probably 100 miles a day) it got them thinking. Mom got a new Highlander hybrid, 1 sis got a Rav4, dad's looking at new FJ. Now my other sister needs to get rid of that Mazda/ford piece of crap she's got haha

Rock on, yeah I tried to convine my wife to get an FJ but it wasn't too aesthetically appealling to her, she just doesn't understand. The rest of my family is stuck on Bimmers so its a bit hard to convert them to yoters but hey, at least I got my wife. I mean, I have got 225k on my 3.slow right now and still feel comfortable enough to drive it cross country and back if I had to.
