God please someone have an answer

I swapped out the engine in my 97 Toyota t1004x4. In the process I damaged the transmission dip stick and caused it to leak. I drained the transmission and pulled the pan, cleaned it out and replaced the fluid after repairing the leak. Fired up the truck and it goes nowhere! Now I have to say that I had no transmission issues at all before this and it worked great. Firm shifts and no lag in gear changes. The jack I had under the transmission leaked down overnight and I found the transmission hanging by the linkage the next morning. It didn't appear to have done any damage. Engine runs great but transmission won't move the truck. No matter what position the gear selectors in it seams to be in two gears at once, even in park and neutral?? Any ideas on how to repair the problem or any suggestions on where to start looking for an issue will be greatly appreciated, more than you could ever know. I can't even begin to tell you how badly I need my truck right now. Mr. Desperate. Lol
