front bumper question

when i got into an accident (guy hit me head on) last november i got the insurance money and fixed it myself, damage wasn't to extensive so i bought the parts and bolted them on, (new bumper, valence, all new lights (clear), new grill, and new drivers side fender), however the bumper and valance that i bought are starting to get rust spots where water accumulates. i was thinking of doing something i just don't know what? the bumper is chrome and so is the valance. i wanted to bondo the seams and smooth it all out and paint both red to match my truck and to look like one piece. will the bondo crack at the seams? will the paint stick to chrome? will it be too much red? help me out guys let me know what you think, i also have to fix a cab corner that i could paint the same time. i wish i could get an arb bumper or something along those lines but too much $$$.

Click on the mountain looking thingy. Then copy and paste the url from photobucket to there.

I don't think the paint would stick very well to chrome. If you're gonna do it be sure to scuff it up first.
