So I am putting a new motor 22r into an old 2wd PU. I had no power at the dash or starter. After replacing the ground strap from the battery to the block I did have power at the dash. I have a second ground strap from the battery to the body. The next day, nothing again, no power at the dash..... any ideas as to what is going on? Thanks!

 

Check fuses, fuseable links, connections. It could be a lot of things, but that is what I would check first. Is your battery draining?

 

Trust me I have checked all the fuses a dozen times. As for the battery goes, its just fine. Pulled it from my running 4runner to make sure I had a good battery. From looking at a wiring diagram, the starter is gounded though the block right? I know looking at the wiring diagram that the solenoid wire should be yellow, but mine is not.....
