Exhaust question...How do I?

OK Guys, I have a muffler that rusted off. Problem is it was the inlet pipe on the muffler that rusted. This means that part of the inlet pipe for the muffler is still inside the pipe connected to the truck. Any ideas how I can get this out to put the new muffler in? It was just clamped on, but it seems the pinch is still holding it pretty good.

Yep, thats how I do it at work.

Should be the other way around though, the MUFFLER should slip OVER the truck's pipes. Just be carefull and not cut the trucks pipes, just the muffler.

If the muffler is really slipped INSIDE the factory pipe, then I'd try hitting the muffler with a hammer to get it off. Get a BIG hammer, 3lb or larger, and GO TO TOWN ON IT. Might take a while. Try some penetrating oil too.
