I am guessing that you mean connector rather than switch, I got a picture from this web site that should help explain it, also being as Toyota's used separate bulbs for stop/tail (red) and turn (amber), you will also need a converter, you can buy the plug in type typically referred to as a "T" connector, or as I prefer to hard wire it (I usually put the little box behind the light housing keeps it higher and dryer), they will both work but hardwiring takes a little longer.
