lol i tried decoding that check digit, and got myself all bass-ackwards. then i decoded my vin, and it said my t was a 97...looked it up on toyodiy, and it all came back correct.

my thoughts? i iz idiot...

helped a ton, i looked at about 400 different decoders and the toyodiy one worked. Only problem is now I know that my truck was hacked and I think someone took 22re intake and exhaust and put it all on a 22ret block/head. vacuum lines tell me that...that extreme lack of power tells me that....i think im gonna have to go find me an engine now guys....

what do serial numbers start at?

I just bought a beautiful 88 FJ62, two tone blue, never mod'd and well cared for- checked the VIN and it is SN 0089000... tell me that isn't the first one off the line or something cause I had intended this to be a project truck, not a restoration one!....?

Here's the community Toyota VIN decoder. For some VINs it shows a list of factory options plus extended info. Hope it helps.
