Exclamation Crunched front corner

So yesterday I managed to rip my front bumper off. stupid and entirely my fault: backing out of a parking spot, my front corner clipped a metal pole crunching the corner and tearing my front bumper off. Actually it's kind of funny to me that whole bumper ripped off, crappy plastic. On that note I just ordered an ARB bumper to replace it

So my question is how hard would be for me to straighten out the corner, pull the dent, and repaint? How much can expect to pay a body shop to do that?

<<Sorry for the cellphone picture, it's all I have here at work.>>

Definitely over a grand worth of work around here,(Bucks Co., PA.). Shop prices are so crazy that I have considered taking some tech courses!
Damn shame but, a good reason to upgrade to the ARB!
I recently put a Warn winch bumper on my '93, needed someone else to help me hold it in place while bolting it up, stock bumper could be easily carried in one hand!
God help any little fart-piped Honda that gets in my way!!!

Or the third option: Develop a cooler story and just leave it.

Buy what you need and see if there are any High School Vo-techs around your area that will paint it.
I have had friends in the past that did that, they did it for just the cost of supplies and it looked pretty good to me, worth checking out if you don't want to have your insurance do it.

That'll be tough one with all the yellow paint left behind... although it could involve a large piece of say Caterpillar Land moving equipment or a backhoe.

Haha true that. and in the story you totaled the hunk of junk Caterpillar and all you got was that little dent.

Ouch, good excuse for a new bumper though. Estimates are usually free, right? Give it a shot at a few shops in the area... I didn't realize anyone was this close to me, I'll have to keep an eye out for you, nice truck btw... I'm in Limerick.

you could find a fender from a junkyard off a 4runner with the same paint.
Its a long shot but worth a try.

Or, buy a fender, get it painted or paint it yourself. then install it

Ouch. A friend of mine did something like that. Well it was done to his 2005 Tacoma, and he was launching some jet ski's at my house, and he hit a pole on the side of the ramp. Luckily(for him) my dad does small repairs like that, and his painter was in town for the week. The damage was just to the plastic bumper. It cost him around $150. Mostly for the paint($70 almost) and labor was pretty cheap. You have a little different story, but I'm sure that with a couple hours, a slide hammer, and some extreme precision, you may be able to get that thing looking decent again. Or if you have family that is in the automotive business(esp. body work, and painting) that helps too.

Sucks--I can relate
Recommend that you fix the fender first before you install your ARB, also have a floor jack and a friend around, makes the bumper install/alignment go much easier.

Honestly i would say its going to run you at least about 900-1200 bucks at the shop to get something like that fixed.

C'mon man, your posts are impossible to read. My 7 year old brother knows where to put a period and a comma.

resolution.

Thanks all for your advice. I've straightened it out enough to fit a new headlight assembly in properly. Can't wait for the ARB, and then I'll begin a search for a new corner (preferable black) or have a buddy paint it. then install and viola... good as new. Thanks again and happy labor day!
