Is this the correct Radiator...?

Im going to be highly irritated if this is an automatic radiator... I specified to the idiots at autozone that this was going in a manual transmission v6 easily 4-5 times while at the counter...

anyway, heres the new radiator.

and it has these little tabs at the bottom of it.

and it also came with oil cooler adapters...

and heres my factory one...

Wrong radiator, yes? or am I just being retarded.

I think all yota radiators include now the oil cooler hookups. I thought the same thing when I got mine 2 months ago.

I thought the same thing two years ago when I replaced the radiator in my single cab. Think about it- its cheaper for companies to make one radiator that fits both applications than two that only fit one each.

I wish you luck with that radiator, in my opinion those radiators with the crimped on plastic tanks are total junk, its not uncommon for the tanks to seperate from the core. I bought a new three core all metal radiator from radiator barn for around 140.00 last year, and its a quality replacement.

Its running great so far. the radiator comes with a lifetime warranty. I even asked what voids the warranty and they said if anything is stripped on it. so... I should be good for a little while.

That looks like a spectra. I have a 3 row one in my truck which is a 5 speed and there are no tabs nor did it come with oil cooler parts. I bought mine at autozone in denver a few months ago. They probably did give you one for an auto but it won't make any difference, obviously.

Its a readyrad brand. It is for an automatic / manual. I called kragen ( where i got it ) and they informed me that its cheaper for the producer to produce a dual usage radiator than make individuals.

By the way, I had a hose clamp snap today... :/ threw 28 dollars of toyota red coolant and distilled water all over the ground... had to have my brother bring me a gallon and 1/2 of water to get it home... lol I'll be changing out all of the original hose clamps so this doesn't happen again.

well that sucks.

i ran water initially....just in case....so i wouldn't spill my liquid gold (TOYOTA Red).

i have 2 new Spectras....on on my truck (AUTO) and one on my sons 4runner (5 speed)...same setup on each on with the tranny lines (each radiator has the intake and output lines). they don't have to be plugged....they don't do anything except if you have an AUTO and run the transmission lines through it.

you're in good shape.

yeah... :/ Im just gonna replace the hose clamps, make sure everything is set. THEN ill put my golden liquid in it ( toyota red ) it sucks that i wasted 28 bucks, but whatever... I know i installed the radiator and everything right... just a stupid hose fell off... Normally, I don't "require antifreeze" temps here dont get low enough to freeze. but Im gonna be doing some snow wheeling alot this year. lol the cold season is coming early in california this year ( we've had a wicked cold summer this year, I think it was only in the 100s 4-5 times this year ) and it was high 60s low 70s last night. hell, its 46 right now... I haven't been outside yet but theres probably frost on my car.

Davez Offroad sells complete OEM replacement radiators for 189. but they're about an hour away... that'd be like a 230 ish dollar radiator if I had drove up there ( the entire trip is up hill ) so im pretty satisfied with my 151 radiator... does the job, keeps it cool, and its light!

this is funny, I just noticed this morning that the radiator I bought back in May is leaking from where the plastic top meets the tank. Luckily Autozone is going to give me a free replacement.
