coolant in water..again...
ok so heres the deal. i thought i had blown my headgasket on my 22re. When i pulled the head it was warped and the cam was garbage and springs and valves were too. so i went with an engnbldr street rv head with a new lc engineering header. i figured i better do a new timing chain, timing cover, so all new top end. put everything back together and thought my problem was fixed. started her up yesterday and wouldnt you know... white oil. my question is... is there any other common places for a leak? or am i looking at an internal crack in my block? so any help would be appreciated. if i have to end up getting a new block i think i might go the turbo route and get some turbo pistons and build myself a turbo while its out. what do you guys think?

I would run it a short time and dump the oil and change filter. Refill and run again. Residual water can make it look like it is still leaking.

Similar issues with my truck before I got it. BOTH PO's replaced the HG with no fix. Turned out to be a leak in the TC cover gasket and a weep in the freeze plug ("molly plug??) under the cam (in the head).. Not the HG as suspected.

Did you check to see if your block was warped
Have you pressure tested the the cooling system, if it doesn't hold pressure, you can check to see if it's leaking into the cylinders by pulling the sparkplugs and stuffing strips of cloth down to see if they get wet.
