control arm needs replacing I have a few questions.

Guys I have a 92 Toyota 4x4 truck and the passenger’s side control arm needs replacing. I have a few questions.

The back of the arm is rusted out and I want to fix this before it turns into a mess.
My plan is to get two good used lower arms and rebuild them, (blast, paint, bushings, ball joint) so the down time will be minimal as this is my daily driver. After replacing one arm the other will need to be adjusted for a front end aliment as that one is rusted I plan to cut them both out and put the two rebuilt ones in.

Can I get a grinder / recipitating saw between the bushing and the frame mount to cut the bolt?

Has anyone used the control arm bushing kit from ebay ?

Sway bar Link from ebay ?

The arms NEW from Toyota are 300 + 90 for a bushing + 50 for hard where per side so buying new is out. Is there an aftermarket company that sell them?

I am from Newfoundland Canada and rust is a MAJOR problem down here

Any suggestions?

I have the same exact problem both arms really rusted all the hardware is basically gone, on the drivers side the peice of metal connecting the shock to the arm is broken so shock just hangs there. Have no clue how to approach getting them off?
What's the best way?

I did mine the other day, not rusted out, but the alignment shop said the bushings were bad and needed to be replaced, they seemed fine to me though. Taking the the lower control arm off isn't too bad with a lot of pb blaster sprayed on the cam bolts a few times over a few days before you go at it, and a nice breaker bar. If you are just swaping out the control arm, it shouldn't take too long, few hours or so depending on if you have the right tools, like a ball joint puller and stuff.

I grew up in the rust belt. Buffalo NY. I'm so glad I now live in Arizona. When I did my SAS my control arms looked so good I didn't want to throw them away. I had just put bushings on the uppers too. Just bought them from local auto parts store.

Couldn't give them away either. I may still have them? Check CL in the desert climates and see if you can find a deal.

EDIT: Checked and all I have is the uppers.
