Cons you have experienced from having a lift
We all love jacked up lifted trucks especially those who dont have one (me included) What have you guys experienced as disadvantages or inconveniences to having a lift?
Not necessarily as breaking cvs because of running 35s but things like not being able to fit in parking garages or your roof rack is now hitting every over hanging tree branch on the trail sorta thing just that minor inconvenience that happened to you that day on the trail ect...
Lets hear them

If you have to get in and out of it a lot, especially in dress clothes like a suit, it gets old fast...jumping in and out. Parking garages in areas where there is no other parking options (i live in seattle metro). Not seeing cars in your blind spot when changing lanes. Getting stuff out of your cargo box if you have one...just a few you didn't mention. My 85 was lifted...... all that said, its why i have not yet lifted my 2000 but will do it eventually, just not as much... with my rack/box its already too high for most of the parking garages, oh well.

nothing is really a con in my eyes just like toyospearo mentioned, but it's inconvenient when I can't get into a parking garage or when I am DD for a night and drunk people have to climb in or fall out. You don't see the true stupidity of people until they get drunkk and try to think of the easiest way to get in a lifted truck.

My 2" convex mirror for 4 bucks does the trick nicely.
The problem is knowing when to stop and or stopping at all. (lifting that is)
Besides that:
-slower (usually)
-higher COG
-longer braking distance (usually attributable to larger tires)
I consider these though to be minimal sacrifices/cons

ya, exactly! its not stock anymore. toyota engineers made the best compromises to try and meet every ones needs. i always tend to over do things, cars too low, trucks too high, motorcycle engines with too much hp, etc. i will try to reach a better compromise with my 2000 that will work for me. point is i guess, that the ammount of lift, tires, gears, etc is a very personal and individual thing based on many factors and variables like the stuff people mentioned and depends what you can live with or value more over another.

Makes the seat covers wear out quicker. Tougher to work on the engine. Aside from that, it's all sweetness!
