Common 4runner door problem?

I hear this problem is somewhat common amongst 2nd gen 4runners. I could have been told wrong but idk.

The problem: My passenger rear door wont open at all and I'd kind of like to know why. I'd like to fix it so that everything would be functional. PLEASE HELP!!!

Manual or electric windows?

Remove the door panel and take a peek. If its manual it might have jumped a gear or something. If electric there might be a short or a bad motor.

why would the windows effect my door opening? the window works fine but the door itself wont budge. it doesnt really effect me as I dont really use that door, its just an annoyance sometimes. Could the lock be stuck shut with the door closed? If so, could I just pop the panel off and open it by hand? I read somewhere else on the board that someone else had a problem with one of their doors not opening but no solution to his problem.

ill bet you its the butterfly clip attached to the door handle mechanism. went out on my pickup, door wouldnt open from the inside. i put one of my sisters' butterfly clips she uses for her hair in there, and voila! door opened and closed. then i rolled my truck 3 weeks later, totalled the door, and got new ones. lol. try that though. (not rolling it)

Sorry, I thought you said window. Its probibly one of the clips that holds the rod to the handle. Take the door apart and look inside...
