im doing a 22re rebuild on a 94 pickup now and was wanting to know what else i should change while im wating for the motor to get finished. i have done a few things so far:
new clutch
all new gear oil/fluid (t case, front/rear axles, trans)
new water pump
new oil pump
fuel filter
tps sensor
new cone style air filter
plugs, wires
what else should i do???

Maybe included in your rebuild, but a new timing chain and tensioner woul dbe a good idea. New thermostat to go with the water pump. And if you don't know tha ages of the belts and hoses, change those out as well.

 

didnt think about belts i will add them, as far as the timing chain ive got a new chain tensioner, chain, chain gears and cover

put in a solid axle or long travel kit and moss the crap out of it

yea i would like to do a solid axle, but i have to finish the motor first lol
