Coleman Roof Rack / Basket from Costco - $75!

I just got a Coleman roof rack from Costco. It's not bad for the price. Probably not as strong as a Thule, but for $75 w/ free shipping, you can't complain. You can get it on Costco.com. Weight limit is 110 lbs. I got it to hold gas cans for my trip to Death Valley next month.

That thing looks sweet. I think you should move it forward though. Get the weight as close to the center of gravity as possible since it sits to high.

Here is a pic from farther away. It comes with the brackets to fasten the basket to the horizontal cross bars that go across the roof.

I just ordered one, look at the coleman site for that rack.
http://www.coleman.com/coleman/colem...categoryid=500
They want $205 plus $30 to ship it.

So $74 instead of $235 I cannot wait untill it gets here (the bad part about ordering things online, the wait)

(first thing i am going to do when i get it is remove the coleman plastic thing... or flip it over so you don't see the logo.)

Nice find, thanks for the heads up. At that price even if I don't use it that often I won't feel too bad...

I've been looking for one to mount on the topper on my p/u. This looks like a good one, where can I get the tracks like are on the top of a runner? or can I just mount it directly?

Sure beats $300 for a Yakima rack, and you could easily weld on a couple tabs for lights if you wanted too. Looks like it'll pop off rather quickly too!
