years?
does anyone happen to know which years of this part are interchangeable?
i yanked one off a truck from pic-a-part today, looks the same, but is MUCH more sturdy, as opposed to the crappy sheet metal of the one that is totally ripped off my '91. I think it might be from one gen earlier but iunno. when my gf gets home (left it in her trunk) i'll match it up hopefully.

hmmm. Update!
The bracket off of the older truck goes to prove the saying "They just don't make 'em like they used to!". It much heavier and stronger. The two differences: 1, The old bracket utilizes the classic style return spring, which is longer and hooks from the pedal, to up under the dash crossmember frame piece, where as the newer one uses the larger center coil type spring. This should not be an issue at all, because it's a simple mechanism and I, or anyone else should easily be able to hook the older return spring up (which i think the frame already has the hook ring for it).
2: The brake pedal mounting hole is the same. The clutch pedal hole is off to the right, where as the newer bracket is dead center. No problem. Drilling a hole will fix it right up. I know this portion is probably hard to get a clear understanding of, but i will post pics as soon as the camera charges. Other than these two tiny differences, I'm pretty confident in saying they are identical. But for now, time to weld some gussets and supports on the new/old bracket just for good measure. And man, you should see the crack....I mean RIP in my clutch pedal bracket. bbs with pics

Any chance you could post those pics? I had my clutch bracket crack and welded it up.
I'll be damned if I can get the stupid clutch return spring to go back in properly. Anyone have a pic of how it goes in? It's the coil-type with two prongs that fit into the bracket and the clutch pedal hooks into the middle somehow...
