clutch engagement not good

hey yall, got a 93 v6 pickup i bought a few months ago from an old lady and she said she had a new clutch installed but no paperwork to back it up, again very nice old lady, atleast 65, anywho, my clutch doesnt seem to do anything untill about the last inch of pedal :/ the truck can peel out, wheel in 4 low or high just like it should with no slipping at all... any ideas out there? master and slave cylinder dont seem to be leaking either.... any ideas would be much appreciated, thanks.

If the pedal is depressing significantly before it engages with the pushrod in the MC you can adjust the nut under the pedal to take up the slack.

I did the same thing with a friend's truck a few weeks ago. Feared it needed a clutch, but turned out someone installed a master cylinder and didn't leave any slack in the rod. Adjusting some free play into it made it feel like a full clutch again.

You get in behind the clutch pedal, loosen the locking nut and adjust the rod so that you feel some play in the whole assembly before the master cylinder starts to receive any pressure. Should be some forward-back play.

zombie stomp, the rod into the master cylinder has some free play and the bracket is not cracked at all. also its been pretty cold here in co and when i start the truck in the morning and put it in neutral is makes a sliding/clicking noise really quick...

Adjust the pedal play as described in this video or bleed the system, you'll get it.
