what!?!? pennzoil is the best oil on the market. it has the longest carbon chains of any non-synth oil on the market, ie- greater durability under high temp/pressure applications. still, not the best choice for newer trucks, which are designed to run on synth. for that, i always preferred castrol, personally, but based on their chemistry, they should be about equal in terms of performance

you know about any oil unless you send it off and have it tested then there will be no question what your oil ans engine is doing. that simple

Valvoline's good. Unless your running flat-tappet rocker arms (like the 20r,22r, and 22re) then its reccomended to use diesel oil because of the extra chemicles in the oil needed for diesel engines to help resist cam lobe and non roller rocker tappet wear. Also if your running an aftermarket cam you should be using race oil or adding some MOA in your system because of the zinc. Amsoil makes wounderful products to.

So with a cam, say Rotella would be a good choice. Ge I wonder if its too late, 22 years and 270k later.
