can u put a std cab on ext cab frame?

exatcly what the title says can u becuase my frame is so rotted and i found a ext cab but the guy cant find the title and its got a mint frame so how hard would it be to do this has anyone done this? has anyone thought about putting a 2nd gen cab on a 85 frame that would be a cool alturnative to sas

Can be done with some work. Will have to move at least two body mount brackets for the shorter cab. More work to swap cabs between generations as more body mount work likely needs to be done. Also, you would have to do something with the gap between the bed and cab with the shorter cab.

ok and the gap i am gunna build a flat bed so that wont matter much
