I really really like that idea, I'll give it a try next time. Sometimes the best solutions are the simple ones.

Lee, here's one Filter Relocation Kit I'll still get one of these in the long run, just for simplicty.

I think Bob had one of these and then I think he got rid of it. Any opinions. Bob-o?

Has everyone else received their parts from Bud yet? He told me last Monday that he wouldn't have 1st/2nd gen crossmembers until last Friday 5/5. He'll probably be sending me a ship notice today. :hoping:

I think most everyone has theirs, at least most the 3rd gen crowd has. I've still got to ask Bud about why the parts aren't completely aligned right, I'll ask him that in Tellico when he can actually take a look at things.

I dunno, mine just aren't able to move as much as I need them to, the hex head botls on the front skid are nowhere near close, and one of my steering rack bolts just slipped off. I just need to spend some time and try to shift them around some more, only TWO days left.

I think luck is my middle name sometimes, it's never failed me yet.

Wow, I just installed my crossmember/skidplate this evening after work. I was very impressed by how easy it bolted up with minimal effort. Consider this one more vote for a great product . . . . . and Bud being a great guy!!

On the torque question that I edited out . . . . . yes, per the FSM standard bolt torque spec chart

7T Class, 12 mm Diameter, 1.25 mm Pitch, Hexagon head bolt = 70 ft/lbs

. ... . and the specific torque spec for those bolts in the exploded diagram is 70 ft/lbs (in case there was still any doubt)

Hey Bud I'm still having issues getting my skids lined up and bolted down. The pass. side steering bolt won't catch the lip and the button hole bolts(ones next to the LCAs) won't come anywhere near close, so I have a total of 4 botls holding the front on. I sure hope you get to Tellico with some daylight left, I'm gonna need some pointers/modification before Friday's run. :pat:

I'm still waiting for my email. I may end up being the last one to get his order.

Oh well....as I said before, Bud's stuff is worth the wait.
