Bought a new YOTA!!!!!!!!! (pics, pics, pics)

Well I just moved out to colorado, for the time being at least, and ended up selling my 85 back east to make some money since I didnt have any. But of course I started looking at yotas a little while after selling the 4runner.

I think most of you know what I'm talking about

anyways - after looking at an older w51 pathfinder I ended up finding this 1991 pickup which I got for 2k - in pretty good shape. Needed a bit of work when I picked her up - a new front pass side lower control arm and idler arm, plus needed some new tires because the PO left the front end out of alignment for so long because of the busted control arm and idler.

She drives great, and well regardless I am pretty darn happy with her.

Specifics:

*Rebuilt 22re with downey headers and exhaust.

Rebuilt by http://safari-ltd.com/ out of grand junction about 7k ago.

*K&N filter

*2 inch body lift running on 31s

*Truetrak in the back.
I would have liked a locker but considering I am most concerned about snow performance the truetrak will work fine.

*Marlin crawler transfer case with crawl gearing
not sure of the ratio

*Marlin crawler rear bumper with receiver
awesome really functional bumper

*4X Innovations front bumper with winch mount
Right now I mounted up some hella 500s but down the road hopefully will add a winch!

*Interior carpet removed and racing style seats in the interior
I happen to really like the truck without the carpet - the PO was going to rhinoline/herculine the interior but I actually think I will keep it as is. The racing seats are awesome and trump the lame toyota seats I had in my 85 and then my 97 tacoma before that.

*Smoothtalker cell booster https://www.smoothtalker.com/
Not sure if I will actually use this but its a cool gadget.

* Blue interior
I love it.

Now for the pics!!!!!

You made the right choice, it's better to work a little on a Toyota than own a Pathfinder.

Lift the bumper or lower the body. And fix those tailights, cover the chrome with black paint.

Otherwise, sweet truck!

Thanks everyone - as far as the taillights I would never buy those on my own, but I kind of have learned to like them.

I like those seats too. I checked them out and they're a really good price. You said they're more comfortable than your other trucks?

Bought A new truck looking for a little info

Hi I am new to the site here. I recently bought an 82 regular cab long box 4x4. The truck needs some things and i figured with everyone on here I would get some answers that could steer me in the right direction. I know for a fact i need shocks it is setup for the dual shocks up front. And I believe i will need custom driveshafts because it is on a 6inch suspension with a 3 inch body. Can I run stock driveshafts? Also I think it has the stock 4:10 gears in it and i plan on putting 35's on it do you think this will be enough to push the tires? Just looking for a little help on the truck I dont want to get to crazy with it but I want to be able to wheel it but still drive it daily. Thanks alot Seth 82LittleBigRig

well they are very stiff and super narrow - not for everyone - but I think so, yes.

So thanks again everyone

as far as other work on the truck, after the tires I really have no funds BUT
I will be herculining (white color) the lower 1/4 of the sheetmetal and spraycanning black the front of the truck around the radiator.
