Best type of bolt for aluminum manifold?
i just experience a bolt breaking off in my intake manifold and i'm going to have to drill it out and re-thread it. i've been reading that steal bolts commonly seize in aluminum. what is the best type of bolt for my aluminum manifold so i don't have to deal with this problem again. thanks

Copper Never Seize is your friend any time you have two different metals in contact you will have corrosion.
Another thing is try and get hold of some Aero Kroil just about the best penetrating spray I have ever used.
Working on vehicles 20 plus years old you will have this
Good to have the thread repair kits of your choice in M8x 1.25 M10x 1.25 and if you do this alot M12x 1.25
The Thermostat housing bolts are known to break or strip out in the 22R series engines

factory bolts...
Just never put one in unless you give it a coating of something. Be it WD40, PB Blaster, oil or anti seize...
common sense.
What do you think spark plugs are made out of?

When I rebuilt mine, most of my bolts were replaced with Stainless Steel and I used your everyday permatex anti-seize on almost everything. RTV on others than I needed to on the water pump and oil pump.
Those were not cheap though and the kit I got was missing a few here and there. Would never buy from them again BTW.

thanks. and as far as i'm concerned, spark plugs are made out of mini lightning boltz, but what does that have to do with the pain you feel after eating weinerschnitzel?
