I figured I would post up. I just put a Dynomax 17741 muffler on my 88 3.0 V6 4Runner because the previous owner had some 2-1/4" exhaust put on from just in front of the converter flange on back. He ditched the converter so I had to find a 2-1/4" converter and then added the Dynomax muffler and had a shop fab up the tailpipe. I wasn't looking for a deep tone, just wanted a somewhat stock round muffler. It's got a pretty deep tone, especially at low rpm's. It was just under $50 shipped from Amazon so it was a decent deal. The part # is actually listed as a Dodge replacement part but it's 2-1/4" inlet and outlet and a round body like the stock muffler but it's a little shorter.

 

Nice, I've toyed with ditching the glasspack maybe one of these days.

 

I got a highflow cat and a cherrybomb on my p/u, and it sounds awesome! Nice and throaty, not ricey at all. I used a 3.5" pack and reduced it down to the 2 1/4stock , and 3" tailpipe. I also put one on my 4runner, but to save money I just got the 2 1/4 glass pack, and it sounds terrible!
