K, new on the forums but read a sht load and love it.
So got an 85 best for rust ive seen and fibreglass box sides. 22re auto and stripped it - not a bolt left in frame or body and took it to the painters.
also got a complete 84 diesel with 160 km on it - nice mech. shape but rusty.
one more - 83 short box 4 speed - 22r shot

I would love opinions. My plan to put the 58 hp diesel (2l) drive train in and do a stock top to bottom rebuild on the 85 that used to be a 22re auto. silly?

Also, from experience and opinion, would it be better to change the good 22re into a 22r and put in the 83 or put the 85 22re auto with injection in.

Again thanks for any input. i`ve got 9 Toyota trucks/suvs but have finally started building them up. Haven`t had any experience with the diesels or 22r.
