A guy left a note on my 4runner selling a 97 4runner for $1500 complete. parts only, no rear hatch, has motor. i don't know if it's Auto or Man. He says it has the button for E-locker but the rear axle is bent. Should i scrounge up funds or wait until I find a good rear E-locked axle?

Even if the rear axle is bent, the 3rd is probably still just fine. The engine alone is worth 1500. I suggest you buy it and part it out. Theres at least 4-5K in parts on it. Go check it out!

 

My elocked 3rd came out of a bend axle. The spider gear with the splines for the axle shaft was broken because of it.
