88/89 trucks
trucks from 88/89 ........... why does it seem that the 89 dlx models are undesirable ? for some odd as reason i can't get mine sold and it's fully stock. no carpet though (like anyways wants carpet that wheels) and needs a engine. the wiring hardness is intact and not hacked or missing. transmission is still good and works. is it that hard to find a 22re or 22r ?
i did notice some changes between the 2. but it wasn't anything that couldn't be fixed to work.

Perhaps with the value of the dollar going down prices are coming up.
I think $875.00 is expensive for a truck that needs a engine to me it would be like buying a bunch of parts you have no real idea if the important ones work.
On the other hand you know just what you have and would pay what you are asking .
I don`t think the year has anything really to do with it not selling.

"needs engine" may be interpreted as "sick of this project, you take it".
not many people have money for project vehicles these days. they're trying to keep their own beater on the road, or buying a running one to replace theirs if it just died.
put a motor in it first, then advertise it and you'll probably be able to name your price. reliable used vehicles are selling for a premium right now.
of course, just keeping it is a good plan too if you don't need to unload it. almost every vehicle i've sold because i needed the $, i really wished i was able to keep.
