85 4runner rear window switch question

anyone ever took their rearwindow switch apart.mine is not getting ground.there is a thing n the side you can screw out and see inside a small hole,but ineed need to see more.

i took mine apart when it quit working, it was full of gunk from 20+yrs of crap being spilled on it. i cleaned the contacts and it works fine now. I dont think these switches can really break, you just need to keep them clean. as for taking it apart theres 4 tabs you have to push in if i remember right, its pretty basic.

Yes there is also the little spring and plunger which no matter how hard I try seems to just fly away to never be found.

i have given up on taking these apart and just keep a few new switches on hand
