Hi ,Iam new here from two week and i have a trouble whit my gas tank wen i take out the cap thers a big air suction .

il try to replace the cap and the problem still ther.


does anyone know about that kind of problem?
the truck is 4runner sr5 1994 3VZE v6 automatic.

I have an 86 4Runner and it does the same thing, I think a little suction is normal, but if it gets so bad that the engine is starving for gas then something is plugged up or not working properly and needs to be fixed.

 

Every vehicle I've ever owned or operated had some suction when you open the gas cap.

 

Leave the gas cap off and see how well your truck runs.

The fuel system is a closed system so the "suction" is supposed to be there.

how can a open the canister to clean it ? that trouble is not on my 1990 it on my 1994
