400 HP Corolla

I found this in the July 23rd AutoWeek. Tried to find a link for it and no luck scanning it. But anyway Toyota National Motorsports sponsors a Corolla dragcar in the NHRA Xplod Sport Compact Racing series. It is driven by 7 year veteran Scott Kelley from Anaheim.
The car is FWD, using a 400HP TRD tuned 3RZ 2.7 L from a Tacoma. 9500 RPM's powers the car to 9.5 seconds @ 140mph.
I would be curious to see the car in action. Of course having that much power from a 2.7L engine with out forced induction or nitrous would be pretty cool.

nice my buddy has a 1980 corolla for sale...he was going to build a drift car with a small block ford but now he has a kid on the way and has to sell it..
