I'm doing the same thing! I'm almost done, just down to finishing the vacuum lines and electrical stuff. Does anyone happen to know if gas will flow through the electric fuel pump if I pull the fuse and let the manual do all the pumping?

I got the whole engine and dropped it in with no problems. My husband and I got the engine in the compartment monday and I have done the rest while he's out on his hitch. I've only ever changed one engine and both of them were EFI. This has been somewhat challenging what with all the little things I had to consider and how to work around them. It's been medium, but would have been easier if I had an all day babysitter LOL.

Pointers...only one person should be taking bolts out or both should be watching. I have had to be creative when guessing what boths are supposed to go where. Still am working on the wiring...I'm gonna have a lot of taped up empty plugs and still have to figure out how to use what I can like finding the plugs for the oil pressure switch and sending unit. Have to find something to do with the wires coming from the carb that don't have anything to plug in to. Since the body is EFI, I am missing some aspects of the vacuum system, but I think I have creatively combined the two...somewhat. Will know by Tuesday if the thing is gonna run...wish me luck...
