Have put a 22re in my 85 hilux.

Having trouble with ruff idling, idles low and dies. Tryed to adjust but im not sure if im doing it right.

Im adjusting on the screw (hexagon with nut) located just about in the middle of this pic :



Isnt it the right one ?
Have changed fuelfilter, so that shouldn't be the problem.

As the 22re engine was not delivered in any vehicles over here in norway, theres not so many to ask for help.

 

Actually its the flat-head screw just to the right and up of the screw you are adjusting.

 

You got to be kidding me ! The big one with a little rust on it ? What's the one ive been adjusting at for then ?

I've never had the engine idling perfect as I just got the right throttle cable, now it returns all the way.

ah ok, well I just highlighted the idle adjust screw is all. 1 o'clock from center.
