2007 4runner reviews
check out this link on consumer reviews for the 2007 4runner. only 2 stars!!!
http://autos.yahoo.com/toyota_4runner/
makes me wonder how much of this is true and how much is made up reviews by the competitors. i dont have 2007 4runner, so those who do fill us in on the pros and cons.

dont even mind that b.s. stuff. Only read the ones that dont mention other vehicle brands. Someone whos title is "Buy a ford explorer instead" and then goes into the options of the explorer is unlikely to have actually had any experience with the vehicle they are rating.
read the fj ones..one guy says it doesnt measure up to the ford edge?? wth is the ford edge? or wow even better, the honda element is a better offroad machine.......you can decide on the credibility..but-tards

yahoo is a joke whe it comes to finding reviews, i find www.edmunds.com a good one, they do tons of comparisons, and actually test drive vehicles insead of just giveing their import hateing ideas.

Most reviews dont post their "bias" as part of the review so its ahrd to tell what the review criteria.
For example say the review critera was straight line speed and the reviewer was comparing a Corvette and a 4Runner but left out the Corvette stuff...
I mean Consumer's Reports if great for appliances but I read their car reviews with a jaundiced eye... great for safety stuff but not so good on "car" critera and even less so on "off road ability needs"..
Like any other review - figure out what YOUR needs are first and then evaulate them yourself...

I've noticed that most 4Runner owners that go to purchase another Toyota vehicle, tend to lean towards the Tundra or Taco. I really think Toyota choked when it came to designing the new Runner. Alot do not like them, just because of looks. I know 3 people that bought either another model, or went completely with another make, because they didnt like the new Runner.

yeah, the 4th generation doesnt have the same appeal as the older ones. although i ve see a few black sport edition ones and they look very sweet. i think toyota really milked the match box design for a long time and its was due for a change. being a 3rd gen owner i am leaning more towards a taco or an FJ as my next ride.
i heard toyota is coming out with a TRD edition for 2008.
