YotaTech's Glossary - Photo Submissions Needed

Now that the glossary is fairly established and continues to grow I'd like to be able to put some pictures with it.

YotaTech's Glossary

I want to focus on the engines for now - if you have or can get a picture that is not trademarked or copyrighted of one of the engines in the glossary please post it here.

I don't care what size it is - nothing huge though.

Eventually I'd like to get them all formatted to a standard size and get them tag'd in the thread.

There are a ton on Wikipedia that I am going to work on saving and putting in the thread but we could also use them for some of the Tech Terms we have in there too.
LSPV, ECU, air locker, etc...

Anything you guys think would help newbie's figure out what their doing is welcomed!

Thanks for the support!

Fink

Bump.

I could really use a decent shot of a 22R and maybe even a 20R if anybody has one they can find.

I've got one up of the 1GR - looks like 640x480 will be the best.

I'll post up what I think is good......please edit them if I get them wrong

Keep in mind, unless I say otherwise, these all all from a 1992 22re.

WOODRUFF KEY...located on front of crankshaft

PIZZA BOX TEMPLATE....for as goofy as this looks, it was a life saver...the timing cover bolts are specific to their holes....I drew this template based on a pic posted by Roger (bows down....).4crawler...

wrench BOOTY-FAB
...used this little get-up to reach the downward facing bolts from the exhaust manifold to the down pipe

EYE PROTECTION.......always wear something on your eyes, wheter it be just some innocent wrenching or spraying....ricocheted brake cleaner not so good in the eyes either

CRUSH WASHER and ___________ BOLT...from the COLD START INJECTOR....I am told these washers are not re-usable

COLD START INJECTOR LOCATION ON EFI UPPER INTAKE MANIFOLD

***help me on this one***
HEAT CONTROL GATE

CHAIN WRENCH...what the books say to use to keep the crankshaft pulley still to get the bolt off (and when you are a sissy like me and afraid to use the "tap the started trick"

MY VERSION of the "chain wrench"

and same thing to re-install

CRANKSHAFT BOLT....what a new one torqued to 116ft/lbs will look like when it's all said and done

OCD...what it looks like when it pertains to keeping your stuff clean and dust and dirt free after your HEAD is all re-assembled and lubed with assembly lube

OIL STRAINER (clogged up)....why it's important to clean out you pan after a timing chain failure and contamination of the oil

TIMING CHAIN GUIDE MESS...again , why you need to get the pan off...

REMNANTs......what doe NOT belong in your pan

TIMING CHAIN TENSIONER..(worn)

TIMING COVER FAILURE....

looking at backside of water pump (breach area)

A CLUE....this means something bad has happened

"HIDDEN BOLT"...the one bolt that seems to elude the instruction books, "hidden" in the puddle of oil under the area where the distributor meets the cam gear

VALVE SERVICE..

a few pics of how OCD can help when doing a cleaning like I did....

My creation....I'll sell it for $100 if you want it (hahahhaaha)

VALVE SPRING COMPRESSOR....although I used this tool, it is probably not the best tool for the job....but it worked for me, so it can work for you too ($19 @ AUTO ZONE)

BOOTY-FAB VALVE CLEANING TOOL...yes, this worked very well.

VALVE GRINDING COMPOUND....cheap and a good workout

VALVE LAPPING TOOL....works much better when the valves are clean......"chhh, chhh, chhh, pop-pop-pop" over and over

(sorry it's blurry) but results of lapping the valves..

ORANGE GOOP....what I found is far superior to any other degreaser when i was cleaning the parts...no grainy / sandy stuff, no "aloe"...no residue...can't remember where I bought it but I'm sure it was a $1 knock-off

22re oilpan....what a cleaned and painted one looks like
