All members now can delete threads/posts in the classifieds

Inspired by this thread
https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f92/...t-help-167827/
effective immediately all members can delete either a single post or thread ONLY in the classifieds section which includes all of the sub forums.
https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f91/

Other forums no.
We use to have it that way, but there was to much abuse of it by certain members who enjoyed watching others post counts go down when they axed their own threads.
Some did it too to take away tech which was very immature when they left here for greener pastures.

Yo

He he he, this should make it easier Fink on all.
Thanks for cleaning up the sections yesternight.
Not all will go back to do this, so the sections may need tidying up from time to time.

It really wasn't that bad to be honest, sure I deleted over 3,400 threads that had zero replies and closed over 4,000+.
All in a days work though.

Thanks for doing your part, we appreciate it.
If there is any good tech info or anything in it, you can leave it and just PM one of us and we can close it.

Corey, can members close their own threads?
It's been too long, I forgot what the options used to be.

Nope, not close, just delete.
Do we need that option?
Sometimes it is nice when a member bumps an older thread for a reason.
Something to think about here for that area too.
Lets get some input.

I must say I've never liked this option on other forums. I've always felt it gives a scammer the means to delete the origin of his scam, which can be good reference.

I've never deleted a for sale post on any forum. I just mark them SOLD in big bold letters.

Nate, it is a "soft" delete.
Thread is still there if it needs to be resurrected by staff for any reason to examine for scam type stuff.
