Yeah, I have done a complete search here to find out if there are any issues (besides different lines), swapping the bed from a 1984 standard bed 2WD Toyota pickup onto a 1991 standard bed Toyota pickup...The bed on the 1991 (farm truck) got sideswiped by a bus, the drivers rear corner of the bed completely crushed, and it's a mess...
I do know where there is a bed from a 1984 that I can pick up for $200, which is in decent shape...
As it is a farm truck, I really don't care what it looks like; I just need it to be streetable....The frames on both trucks are the same width (41"), and the length and width of the bed's themselves are almost exactly the same...The location of the fender wells measured within an inch in comparison...
Can I do a straight swap between them? Or will I need to redrill some holes?
