ha well I am sorry for all of those people that I offended by asking this question. I thought putting it in the newbie forum would mean I could ask things I didn't think were up to par for the "big boy" forum. Also, for the smart alecs out there who r bashing my firewall comment, you failed to answer the other part of the question about a good place to run a cb antenna where I wouldn't have to drill holes, so thank you for the warm welcome from the people that did answer my question respectfully, and I appreciate the fact you bear with me as I learn the world of forums. I just get nervous about drilling holes, and if a grommet is able to be broken or if it serves another purpose, so I thought I would get a lil help frpomt the pro's.

Honestly I would love to see this posted on pirate. That would make my day.

And to whoever used the term "muffler bearings"... you suck. That is so overused and everyone who uses it thinks its so funny. I am so friggen tired of hearing it.

/end rant

Holy geez, let me wipe the tears outta my eyes LOL!!!

Christ whats wrong with muffler bearings???? I'm getting ready to change mine out this weekend and if you wanna get techincal there is such a thing in a '41 Sherman tank and the '77 Plymoth Galaxie convertable coupe. Pfffffsssffff. DUH, everyone knows that! Oh, and Autozone has synthetic blinker fluid on sale in 5 gallon bulk containers this weekend and I should know 'cause my aunts boyfriends buddy who's married to your cousin best friends mom works the snack shack down the street from there....

firewire: I'm assuming this your 4Runner Sport? As far as your magmount antenna goes you might have better luck running the cable thru the rear hatch, maybe? Then centering the mount over the rear cargo area, not the best position but should work ok.

Is your truck a xtracab or regular cab.

And to the noobs or newbies, whatever, you shouldn't ask a question which involves learning as you go, such as where a hole is. If you don't know, learn things this simple on your own then ask if you encounter problems.

LOL
I refused to open this thread for a while because I didn't want to have to read another joke post. I HONESTLY thought it was a joke for a while then I saw it had reached a few pages in length. Oh my that's great. It's a serious question though.
I have an illustrated step by step process to fix your issue though:

You take this:

Add this:

And cause this:

And then you'll have one of these:

and who knows, you might find another truck under your hood, and maybe some friends

There are several places you can mount an antenna without drilling a hole but we'd need to know just what vehicle you're putting it on to give you the best advice... Magnet mounts will go just about anywhere but the vibration will scuff up the paint... you can use a clamp mount if you have a spare tire carrier... bumper mount... there is a bracket that attaches to the fender under the hood that could be mounted to existing bolt holes... you could maybe fab a bracket to attach it to the door mirrors big rig style if you have an 88 or earlier with the "camper" mirrors... just to give you a few ideas...
